So here goes...

I've be debating for the last few weeks on whether or not I wanted to start a blog about Matt and I and our travels to the east coast. Yesterday i found a blog for one of my old friends and i was reading through it and it made me decide that I should do this.

For those that I haven't spoken to recently about the big move I will update you all on everything that has happened so far. Matt gets out of the navy on April 28th! this is a big day for us, I have been looking forward to it for almost a year and a half and my poor husband has been looking forward to this for 6 years! We have been very blessed with Matt finding a job months ago. Getting out of the Navy is a very scary thing for most people, there is so much to be unsure about because you no longer have that safety net of a paycheck every 2 weeks because you cant be fired from the Navy. In January Matt started his search for the job. Everyone kept telling him that it was to early to find a job but he didn't give up. He went to job fairs and he even wore a tie! (something I never thought I would see him do) In Feb. he heard about a job with Firestone Tires in NC to be a maintenance technician (I know he does nuclear stuff in the Navy, but he mainly fixes things.) He loves to work with his hands and to fix things and everything about this job just sounded wonderful. He went to the interview and he got the job! We have been so grateful because it has taken so much stress out of our lives knowing that we will be ok when we get there. It is also located near some family friends, which will be great to have near if we need anything, also his brother lives there.

I am a little terrified to move all the way across the country when i haven't even seen the city where we will be living. I have heard wonderful things about it but i just wish i could go see it before I move. The great news is... We have an Apartment! I confirmed everything today. Since we couldn't go over there to find an apartment we found the newest nicest looking apartments that are not too far from Matt's work online and we just went for it. It was voted community of the year for the last few years so it cant be that bad. Right? Plus, we got a ground level which will make it so much easier to move in. I am so tired of moving a packing, luckily most of our stuff has already been shipped over there. THANK YOU CORRINE!

Well, that's all i have for now I will try and keep everyone updated on all the happening!
