Toilets!

Its the night before we leave! I can not wait to get out of this house. We have had constant plumbing problems since before I moved in here. When I first got here there was a leak that dripped into Kevin's room and it never stopped. It was so annoying. Then last fall when I moved in here alone the toilets went haywire and never stopped running. I also found out the freezer outside was leaking so our garage was flooded. I had my parents come out and bring me some stuff and also take a look at the place. My dad helped the problems out some. They have returned! The freezer kept leaking and we have had to defrost it twice, it turned into a solid block of ice. It was hours of chipping away and dumping hot water on it. I am scared to look at it before we leave because I don't want to feel like I need to fix it. The toilets have also started to constantly run AGAIN! Our back yard flooded a week ago. I had no idea until a plumber came over. The got a call from our back neighbor. That just shows how much I even look in the back yard. And TONIGHT! Matt and I were watching Heroes and I had just started our last load of laundry when I hear a loud noise and then I hear leaking water. I try and tell Matt but he is so into the show that I actually had to pause it (thank you DVR) before he heard me. We started looking around the house. the garage, nothing. the kitchen, nothing. The upstair bathroom, mean pool! the pipe broke or something and our bathroom was flooding. I am so glad that we were here tonight. There isn't anyone else home and if it happened anytime in the next week there probably wouldn't have been anyone here to even notice. I CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE TOMORROW!

4 days until we leave!

I'm not working... AGAIN! UGH! If only i could work a few days of this month. I am really getting tired of not working. I don't really like working, but who does, but the fact that its been 2 months and I have only worked like 10 days is ridiculous. I can not wait until I can go and find a real job with real hours and maybe a real desk with co-workers and not high school kids.

Well, it is actually kind of nice that I am not working today. I woke up early. I cleaned the kitchen. I cleaned my bedroom. Started laundry. Packed up clothes I wont be needing for the next month. Made delicious breakfast for my hubby and I. I even watched an episode of Survivor. I am proud of myself. Now i get to run around the house looking in every cupboard and any other place my husband may have stashed his stuff and pack it all up. I do NOT like moving. But I am super excited to have my own place! Only a few more days in this awful house! YAY!

I really hope the rest of the day keeps going well!

Dear Inland Empire...

I do not like driving 2 hours to Redlands for a doctors appointment.

I do like having lunch with Beth.

I do not like driving 2 hours home after being in beaumont for less than 2 hours.

That was my day.

9 more days...

Well, i just got home from a great weekend! I went up to Beaumont for one of my last times up there before the move. I just love my friends. I didnt see a whole lot of them but those 3 that i did get to hang out with were amazing. Breanna and i went and saw Hannah Montana! HOORAY! It was actually super good. It may have even made me cry. I just loved it. I know, I'm a nerd like that.

But my favorite part of the weekend was actually just hanging out with my mama and papa. Im starting to get really sad. I am so excited to leave and start my life with Matt but i am going to miss my parents so much. On saturday night my parents were working on their rental house and i went over there to just hang out with them. Its so nice that i cant actually be around them without fighting. It was just a really good weekend.

Matt comes home TOMORROW! I cant wait for him to be home. However, he comes home and we have 8 days to pack up what little bit of stuff we have left.  I feel like we have so much stuff left to do before we leave but we really dont. Clothes and Tv are basically all we have left. I cant wait!

Photo Class!

Today was a great day aside from my husband being out to sea. I didn't work because the subbing down here is lame. I didn't get a call, AGAIN! So instead of working I hung out with Jenn, I missed her. She just got a new puppy so we took him to the dog park :) He is a little to young for that so we ended up just walking around for a few hours then we went and had delicious Thai food for lunch. I could seriously eat Thai food everyday.

I am also talking a photography class, i am so tired of it. I just wish it was over. I don't enjoy black and white photos and I don't like being in the darkroom. I am too impatient for it. I have learned a lot and I am very glad Ive stuck with it. Here are a few photos i took with film and them put them up on photo shop. It was for my "self portrait" project.

So, I will probably be on here a lot in the next few days. Matt is on his last underway! This is the last time he will ever have to go out to sea with the navy. Thankfully it is only 6 days, which I can handle, I just don't enjoy him being gone. I get extremely bored. All of our roommates are on the ship so the huge house is so quite and Chula Vista is not the best city and I do get freaked out really easily.

I was trying to decided what i wanted to do for the rest of the night because all of my shows are reruns tonight. I decided on watching Titanic, oh Leo!  Its the 97th anniversary of the wreck and I thought it would be appropriate :)

So here goes...

I've be debating for the last few weeks on whether or not I wanted to start a blog about Matt and I and our travels to the east coast. Yesterday i found a blog for one of my old friends and i was reading through it and it made me decide that I should do this.

For those that I haven't spoken to recently about the big move I will update you all on everything that has happened so far. Matt gets out of the navy on April 28th! this is a big day for us, I have been looking forward to it for almost a year and a half and my poor husband has been looking forward to this for 6 years! We have been very blessed with Matt finding a job months ago. Getting out of the Navy is a very scary thing for most people, there is so much to be unsure about because you no longer have that safety net of a paycheck every 2 weeks because you cant be fired from the Navy. In January Matt started his search for the job. Everyone kept telling him that it was to early to find a job but he didn't give up. He went to job fairs and he even wore a tie! (something I never thought I would see him do) In Feb. he heard about a job with Firestone Tires in NC to be a maintenance technician (I know he does nuclear stuff in the Navy, but he mainly fixes things.) He loves to work with his hands and to fix things and everything about this job just sounded wonderful. He went to the interview and he got the job! We have been so grateful because it has taken so much stress out of our lives knowing that we will be ok when we get there. It is also located near some family friends, which will be great to have near if we need anything, also his brother lives there.

I am a little terrified to move all the way across the country when i haven't even seen the city where we will be living. I have heard wonderful things about it but i just wish i could go see it before I move. The great news is... We have an Apartment! I confirmed everything today. Since we couldn't go over there to find an apartment we found the newest nicest looking apartments that are not too far from Matt's work online and we just went for it. It was voted community of the year for the last few years so it cant be that bad. Right? Plus, we got a ground level which will make it so much easier to move in. I am so tired of moving a packing, luckily most of our stuff has already been shipped over there. THANK YOU CORRINE!

Well, that's all i have for now I will try and keep everyone updated on all the happening!
